Increase Online Business With High Quality Sales Letters

Posted by on 22 June 2011

There’s no doubt about it – a compelling sales letter is the key to a successful internet business. After all – that’s what initially gets your attention!

Without a sales letter that gets your readers attention and convinces them to buy your product, you’re internet business may suffer. That’s how essential it is to have an persuasive sales letter.

If you’ve ever read every word from an email marketing campaign, then that sales letter obviously did a good job in getting – and keeping – your attention.

Knowing how to write these sales letters is important, obviously! So, how do you do it?

Headlines! Get Their Attention!

Headlines are the first thing that potential customers notice. Not only will you get their attention, but you’ll draw them in to read further on in the sales letter.

What Will this Product Do For Your Customer?

“What’s in it for me?” You need to make the product sound so interesting and worthy that your customer will feel compelled to have it. Focus on your customer!

Take Action!

At the end of your sales letter, you need to include instructions on actions to be taken. You need to re-state why your client needs your product, and grab their attention again the way you did with the headline.

Now, I realize that all this may sound a little daunting to those who don’t necessarily have great writing skills. Writing sales letters may be problematic…

Difficulties With Writing Sales Letters…

- It takes a LOT of time and effort to put sales letters together, which can be torture if you hate writing!

- Writing sales letters is difficult, and requires skill;

- Poorly written sales letters will lose the attention of potential customers fast.

Your sales letter is your pitch, and if it doesn’t do a good job, your online business will suffer. How well your sales letter ‘sells’ is crucial – regardless of whether you want people to subscribe to your site, or buy a product.

Starting from scratch can be overwhelming! Time is money – nobody wants to sit hour after hour writing sales letters that only generate low conversions.

Stop trying to compete online with price alone – Offer real value instead

Posted by on 12 May 2011

The internet marketing game is a competitive one. You’ll often find yourself in competition with thousands, if not millions of other people. It can be a bit intimidating, and for many, it is easy to cave into the pressure. You see other internet marketers offering your product, or one similar to it, for a fraction of the price you charge. You think that in order to compete with them, you must lower your price. However, this isn’t usually the right move to make, as it can cause you to be less profitable. That’s why you need to stop trying to compete online with price alone.

Competing With Others Doesn’t Always Mean Competing By Price

It’s a misconception in business, and particularly on the internet, that you need to price your products as low as possible in order to realize maximum profit potential. It’s easy to understand why this misconception is still the way of thought for many: conventional wisdom teaches us that price is all consumers care about. All they want to do is purchase the lowest priced products. But that’s simply not true. Customers do not care solely about price, but rather, they also care about quality and the reputation of the business from which they’re buying. They want to make sure that whatever products they are buying are of a good quality, and usually this means avoiding the lowest priced products.

Why Pricing as Low as Possible is Not Good

Have you ever seen a very detailed, high quality ebook being offered for .99 and wondered “how in the world can the seller afford to sell it for so cheap?” The answer is, they really cannot afford it. You see, selling something far below it’s worth is an easy way to go bankrupt. When acquire a product to sell, you’ve already invested a lot of money into it. The whole point of then turning around and selling it is to recoup what you’ve spent and then some. If you sell it for too low of a price, no matter how competitive the price is, you will not get all the money from it that you should get. You’ll most likely go bankrupt.

          Competing With Other Businesses

So how can you compete with other businesses without going bankrupt? It’s easy, as long as you do the following:

          * Create a Convincing Salesletter to Use: It’s all about selling the worth of your product to potential customers. A good salesletter does just this. It tells potential customers why your product is useful to them. It convinces them that they need your product and that they should buy it. Do not underestimate the power of a good salesletter, so make sure you either write a very good one or hire someone to do it.
          * Not Too High of a Price: Don’t ever attempt to sell a product for more than what it’s worth. Attempting to “fleece” someone is one of the worst things you can do as a seller. Yes, it’s true you don’t want to charge too low of a price, but it’s also very true you don’t want to overcharge. Find a good price in between and sell the product for that.
          * Professionalism: People like to buy from businesses which are professional. That’s why you want to have a very good looking web site for your business, as well as good customer service. Let the customer know that you are a professional and you care what they think.
